Ron.....this one's for you...This is not going to be all mushy and gushy....just from the heart.

Happy Anniversary. For 29 years we have been together.

You have always been there for me...in your t shirt, jeans and tennis shoes. You aren't a fancy kind of guy, but I always know where you stand. You are honest to a fault sometimes. You are devoted to your family more than any one knows. You love me when I have funny hair and too many tummies. You are my sugar daddy.

I have great memories of us and I treasure them all.

I love my life with you. Thank you for being my biggest cheerleader.

Next year on our 30th, I want to go to Disneyland, ok? Just me and you....no kids. That way we can go on the rides "we" want to, eat where "we" want to, see the things "we" want to and take naps when "we" want to. Pinky promise??

If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks your heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.

I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.

Another great thought.....

When people show you who they are, believe them, the first time. Not the 29th time! When you are mistreated the first time, when you see someone who shows you a lack of integrity or dishonesty the first time, know that that will be followed by many, many, many other times that will at some point in life come back to haunt or hurt you. When people show you who they are, believe them, the first time. Live your life from truth and you will survive everything, everything, I believe even death. You will survive everything if you can live your life from the point of view of truth.

To My Friend...

A very good friend of ours passed away. Our family has mourned this week. But thoughts have come to my mind that I would like to pay tribute to her and her life. The quote above, by Winston Churchill, is my new favorite quote. Karen, you have everything.

I was watching a show the other day when Jon Huntsman was being interviewed. He made a remark about how you should live your life in such a way that you imagine the eulogy at your funeral and what people will say about how you lived and imagine how many people will be there. I have believed this for a long time thanks to "A Christmas Carol" with George C. Scott. At the end of his night time journey with the spirit of Christmas future, he sees people laughing about his death. He sees people that have stolen his personal belongings and sells them for change. He sees his own tombstone with his name on it...and no one is sad that he died. No one even cared.

We all know people who "pretend" to be good in front of other people to get brownie points. Is that integrity? No. We all know people who do really bad things and blame other people for it or play the victim. Is that integrity? No. Honestly, no one would really care if those people died. Are you one of those people?

Karen, I know there will be standing room only at your funeral...because you are a good person. I also know what kind of things will be said at your funeral, because you are a good person. Karen, you are a hero to many people. You are a hero to our family.

Thank you for your friendship over the many years. Thank you for your support and understanding over the last year or so. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for being our savior in so many ways.

You are my hero!
