Gabriel Camron

3 years ago my life changed. I became a grandma for the first time. This year 2009, I will become a grandma two more times and I can hardly wait. Gabe has brought me so much happiness during the last three years. Not just me, but our whole family. We simply adore him.

On January 7, Gabe turned 3. He is getting to be quite a big boy these days. That makes me kinda sad, as he is growing up so fast. Saturday, Grandma and Grandpa decided to have an adventure. It was time for us to take Gabe to Build a Bear and buy him his own Build a Bear for his birthday. Build a Bear is one of our favorite things to do, but it's also one of the most expensive things to do. Katie built her first "monkey" years ago and it's still her best friend. Rob built a bear for Brandee and recorded his wedding proposal in it, then gave her the bear with her ring. I built a bear for Cam when he graduated from high school, which was all decked out in soccer gear---a tribute to Cam's high school soccer career. Now it was Gabe's turn.

The whole family met up at Village Inn in Bountiful to eat some breakfast and it was the best! After filling our tummies, we were ready. We went down to Fashion Place Mall (they also have a Bear store at the Gateway). There we were....all 7 of us watching Gabe. It was pretty funny actually, seven adults in Build a Bear and one 3 yr old.

Gabe decided on a T-Rex to stuff. He picked out a "roar" sound to put inside. Then after a stuffing and a washing, it was time to pick out an outfit. This was really the fun part. Kate and I were all over that one. Brandee and Robs helped him pick out a camo outfit (but you have to look hard to see him because he is in camo). Gabe picked out these awesome blue and silver shoes. Uncle Cam finished the outfit with a pair of mirrored sunglasses. This T-Rex was stylin.....

Then it was time to get a birth certificate for him. Gabe decided to name him Rizzo. Rizzo the T-Rex....it has a little ring to it. In the end, Rizzo was a dude.

After that we all scattered and did some after Christmas shopping. They had some incredible deals down there. 50-70-75 % off in most stores. Semi-annual sales here and there. I was so grateful for the Victoria's Secret sale, so I could update my lingerie. What! Did I just say that outloud? Like I could fit in anything from Victoria's Secret. But I do like their lotion.

Cam and Ellie did some baby shopping at Gymboree, as did Brands. Ron found a nice spot to sit and people watch. Rob and Gabe checked out the rest of the mall. Then we all went our separate ways and went home. But it's nice to know and remember that we are a family and enjoy being together.
